Valentines Day

For Valentines Day....

we decided to celebrate at home. :D 

Our awesome friends Meagan and Garrett, plus baby Hudson came over and did dinner and dessert with us.

On our menu:

Spinach stuffed Chicken (and cheese and wrapped in bacon!), carmelized sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli and salad. 

It was completely delicious. 

Dessert, you ask? 

Ooooooh, yes, we did have dessert! And every single one of you should be jealous because it was 

AMAZING. 

Brownie/white chocolate pudding/brownie again/chocolate pudding/whipped cream/topped with a heart shaped brownie of goodness. 

No one could stop eating. Even though we were all stuffed so full, it hurt. 

Kitchening

We LOVE doing dinner and dessert with Darcy and Justin! Here are some pictures from one of our dessert-attempt-makings. :)

Darcy told me about this recipe she wanted to make-Cake Balls. :) So we did it that night.

You just make a cake (whatever kind you want. Bake it, let it cool, THEN comes our favorite part-- crumble it all up with your hands or whatever. and then dump a thing of frosting in and mix it all up. then you pack them into small balls and dip them in melted chocolate. :) yummy!

And obviously we were very proud of our creations...we took about 10 pics of the milk and cake balls...hahaha. Here's one of them. (oh Plus one of the roses Bryce gave me for Valentine's day!)

And this little GEM I made in one of our RS Activities. Sis. Cook, our Bishop's wonderful wonderful wife did a class on making home made fruit pies! She did the activity like a cooking show and we all had our ingredients and everything to make one ourselves during the class and then we got to bake it at home! Yay!
And if you look in the back of this pic you can see home made bread .... ALLL Bryce too! Surprised me with it when I got home from the Pie activity! LOVE him!

Real Quick

We had a Halloween Potluck at work this week...

I got this recipe from Mer! I just added the bloodiness... ;)  It's broken pretzel sticks, a mixture of PB, pwd sugar, butter, and vanilla. Then the nails are slices of almond. i just put some red food coloring on a qtip and dabbed it onto the ends...hehe.

I got this one off line. Sorry about the crappy pics. I was in a hurry and didn't pull out the camera til I had already put plastic wrap on.   This is just a mini watermelon--carve off the green skin with a potato peeler and then carve it! 

They were both a hit (we had the Doctors at work vote for several categories) and I won two of the categories! (brain- most creative and fingers-spookiest) so I got halloween dish towels and play dough! yessss. major score.

At least i can tie them...

YESTERDAY @ Lunch, met up with bryce at home to eat. 

Walk in the house, slip off my shoes next to the table.

walk into the kitchen, help bryce make some lunch

sit down at the table with bryce to eat and half way through, 

"dear, did you wear two different shoes today?"

Looking at him like he's insane,

"no of course not! what am i? 6?" 

as i look down to the floor where he had been looking....

where i had slipped off my shoes that i had worn all morning.

And there they were...

Right where i left them.
