As you know, we are trying to adopt!
It's been an eye-opening experience. We've been trying to adopt privately and not go through an agency. (This keeps costs between $8,000-$15,000 depending on the situation)
But as we've be contacted by birth mother after birth mother, we're realizing that doing it privately is not easy. I won't go into detail here though.
We will continue trying to adopt privately but we also frequently get contacted by agencies looking for home-study ready couples for specific situations they have. Unfortunately, those agencies all have fees ranging from
$29,000 - $40,000.
It's been heart breaking to turn down those specific situations- some with newborn babies just waiting to be adopted.
If you know my family, you know that when a family member needs help we all rally together, circle the wagons and make miracles happen.
So through the love and generosity of so many, we have SEVEN fundraisers going right now to help us with out adoption costs!

I met Cherise Davies back when we lived in Logan Utah, and let me tell you: she and Bryce are some of the nicest people I have ever met. There is nothing that would please me more than to see the Davies blessed with a child to call their own. That is why I will be donating my entire 35% commission from this party to their adoption fund.
