Heaven Can be So Close

I've been overwhelmed at the amount of love and support we've received via email, FB, all the comments on my posts, flowers and cards in the mail.  Each and every one has warmed our hearts. The words of faith, comfort and empathy have buoyed our spirits immensely.

Each night this week when we've laid down to go to bed, I've pulled out my phone and read the comments and messages we've received out loud to Bryce so he could feel the love too. So often I've had to stop every few words to swallow the lump in my throat. Many have made us cry.

The more heartbreak you experience in life the more you realize that everyone else out there has heartbreak of their own - now or in the past that has and is shaping their life.

I had prayed all those weeks and all those nights that "all would be well" whatever the outcome. And though there is still the lingering sadness, I know with all my heart that all is, indeed, well.  We've been supported and comforted in our trials and we've felt the Lord's hand in our life and His spirit speaking peace to our minds.   Heaven can be so close.

Our prayers this week have consisted almost entirely of gratitude for all we've been blessed with.  And the more gratitude we express to Him, the more we understand where our family is headed and what we are supposed to do.

I have been reading your story for a while now but never left a comment (we were in the same married student ward at USU). Reading your story has inspired me in many ways. I have often felt the spirit while reading your words and they have helped me through my trials even though they are different from yours. Thank you for sharing your experiences, you are one amazing and strong woman!
