The Champion

Jana, Bryce really is a champion! You're so right. :)
for everyone else:REASON:
On Wednesday, Bryce took me out on a date. He got home from work and got showered and changed and we jumped in the car with the picnic dinner he asked me to pack so it would be ready. The drive took 25 mins and he made me cover
my eyes a bunch of times so i wouldn't see where we were going before we got there.
We drove down through Hyrum and through Paradise (both very small towns just south of Logan) and through some Hill-y areas that totally reminded me of MO because it was so green and beautiful! One part reminded me of Old State Rd (for anyone who knows that area of MO) because the green green trees created arches over the little curvy road. it was SO PRETTY!
Then we went up through more canyon-ish areas and then came up to what i guessed as being a dam and of course a lake but Bryce said No No, not it. You'll see.
lol it was a RESERVOIR. sorry! haha. It's this little lake/reservoir called Porcupine Reservoir. It's tucked way up in the canyon far away from everything. It's BEAUtiful!!

He found this place while i was out of

town-down in Flagstaff for Bethi's wedding. He loves Google Earth, so he was playing around on it and found the area,
figured out how to get there and drove all the way
there on Sat. to check it out. He found a spot that's kinda
sandy...rocky...lol. but almost looks like a little mini beach right along the shore.
So we got up there and put down a blanket and ate our little dinner out there. It was AWEsome!!! I was so excited that it was a surprise!!! I always
guess/figure out what he's going to do but i had No Idea this time!!! :) dang he just makes me happy!!!

Finished today

Books

I got hooked on reading LDS romance novels in middle school and stayed hooked until the end of high school. So I now have a huge bookshelf FULL of books---mostly LDS romance novels. :) So last time I counted, I had around 100 of them.
So here's the deal. I don't need 100 romance novels sitting around my house. Even though I love collecting books...it's one of my obsessions. I love having tons of books but...it just doesn't make sense anymore because I just don't love RE-reading anymore. I used to re-read every book at least three or four times but I don't anymore....
SO, Jen suggested selling them on KSL but I'm lazy and i don't want to get on and create 100 separate ads....at least not now. so if any of you like reading and are interested I'm selling a bunch of them. Each under $10. Most of them i bought for $15-$18 at Deseret Book or Seagull Book

So here's a list of some of the books I'm willing to part with:

Double Image, Don Searle
Love Lights the Way, Michelle Ashman Bell
Pathway Home, Michelle Ashman Bell
Timeless Moments, Michelle Ashman Bell
Remember No More, Pamela Reid
Love to the Highest Bidder, Rachel Ann Nunes
Framed For Love, Rachel Ann Nunes
Love on the Run, Rachel Ann Nunes
Cover of Darkeness, Sian Ann Bessey
The Heart Only Know, Kerry Blair
The Perfect Plan, Jeri Gilchrist
Unlikely Match, Beverly King
Macady, Jennie Hansen
House on the Hill, Annette Lyon
Timeless Waltz, Anita Stansfield
Gustavia Browne, Alene Roberts
An Honest Heart, Richard M, Siddoway
The Mist of Quarry Harbor, Liz Adair

I also have a bunch more by Anita Stansfield, Betsy Brannon Green (who's absolutely amazing), Jennie Hansen, and a bunch more. If you have a specific book in mind you want, and it's not already on the list, let me know! i probably have it! lol. :)

Journal Entry February 17th, 2006

"I miss him. Today i miss him. A lot. There's always the thing in my heart that says things aren't right without him but today it's more than that. I usually don't even admit to missing him to myself, let alone out loud or in writing. I hardly ever tell him in letters that i miss him. Sometimes i'll add in a quick "miss you" at the end but usually nothing more. I don't want him worrying about me or missing me any more than he does. There's always so much i want to tell him. When i see something cool i wish he could see it too. When i hear a beautiful song, i wish he could hear it too. When i accomplish something or finish a hard project i wish he could celebrate with  me. When I take a few seconds before i walk in the house at night to look up at the stars, i wish he could be standing with me marveling at the beauties God has given us. I miss hearing his voice. I miss holding his hand while walking through a store, dancing with him in the kitchen, laughing with him, having him tease me, getting big bear hugs from him, hearing his "old man laugh", the feel of the stubble on his face, his dirty fingernails and calloused hands, hearing him breathe, hearing his heartbeat, listening to him go on and on about cars and trucks, listening to his stories about his little brother and all the fun things they've done together. I miss the comfort i always felt telling him anything and the immediate safety i felt when i was with him. The way i'd turn to him to find him watching my face, the way he'd hold me as long as i wanted him to. How he'd let me fall asleep on his shoulder while he drove, how he'd insist on holding my hand while driving even though it made it harder, the way he listens to everything i tell him and always seemed to care about my opinion and point of view. How he could pul facts about me our of thin air that i couldn't remember even telling him. His curiosity about Everything and how and why things work the way they do. I miss hearing my cell phone ringing at 3 in the morning because he wanted to tell me he loved me or that he couldn't sleep and asked that i just talk to him for a few.  The way he'd remember everything i forgot and how he always knew how to make things right. The ways he'd have me call him after driving somewhere to let him know i was safe, how hard he'd try to get my parents to like him. The ways he handles kids and teases them and in the process becomes a little boy again. How ultimately precious I feel in his presence."

Honeymooooon: Part one

Yeah so our honeymoon was over a month and a half ago and i'm finally getting to blog about it! HA!

Anyway, so we decided to kind of Half-wing it. we had a couple things planned but left most of our time open so we could do whatever. So after the luncheon we headed out to Park City because Bryce had never been there and I think its just so pretty there. We stayed in a super nice hotel and they even brought us sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries when the manager found out that it was our honeymoon! :) We just stayed there for one day and then headed down towards Brianhead.

On the way, we stopped to drive up Kolob Canyon. It was BeautifuL!!!! I have tons of pics! But here's just one from up near the top.

And here we are driving....i think he was seriously driving when i toook this pic...probably not the best idea for the future huh?
This was the backseat of the car during the trip: some of our luggage, and a couple pillows and the hamper filled with snack foods etc that his mom gave us! It was perfect!
I got a bad cold the day before the wedding so i was sick for our whole honeymoon too. retarded!! so that's what the kleenex box is about and then that's our map of Zions nat park and my flip flops and our Atlas! (I LOVe my atlas! we're best friends. She's been with me since i left for college!!)
(This was actually taken after we left Brianhead but ..yeah. pretty huh?)
